On a day that included a managerial shoving match, Tobias Werner kicking his shoe at Kevin De Bruyne still might have been the strangest thing to happen on Sunday.
The incident occured during the first half of Wolfsburg's Bundesliga match against Augsburg as De Bruyne prepared to take a throw-in for the home side. Werner was having trouble with his boot and rushed in front of De Bruyne as he prepared his throw. He then kicked that boot at De Bruyne's crotch right in front of the linesman. De Bruyne didn't flinch, but did appeal to the linesman as if to say, "Did you just see what that weirdo did?"
Werner was shown a yellow card and Wolfsburg went on to win 1-0.
